The Flag of Hope was raised by the son of a fallen soldier, Andriy Hoza. The black color of the flag symbolizes pain, while the white represents hope. This banner reminds us of those who could not return home.
“Lviv remembers,” wrote Andriy Sadovyy, emphasizing that the city will not forget its heroes.
The initiator of raising the Flag of Hope was veteran Serhiy Volynskyi, who first proposed this idea in 2024. The black stripe symbolizes loss, while the white represents faith in return and a bright future.
