In Lviv, an art installation 'Afterimages' was opened on the occasion of the Day of the State Flag and the Day of Independence of Ukraine. The work symbolizes the losses and memory during the war. One of the displaced persons from Mariupol, Valentyna Boiko, recalls the horrors of war, living with her family for two months in a basement, and dreams of returning to her hometown. Her moving story became an important element in creating this installation. Ukrainian artist Mykhailo Deyak decided to dedicate this project to the residents of Mariupol, liberated from the brutality of war. The idea of the exhibition is to remind people of the events happening in their hometown and in the world. The exhibition can be seen in Lviv until October of this year.
