On the evening of July 31, there were serious disruptions in Telegram's operation, which significantly affected its functionality. Users began to notice significant delays in the messenger's performance, and some of its features simply stopped working. This is evidenced by reports from the Downdetector website.According to user reports, the biggest problems were related to message transmission and media file uploads.On the Downdetector portal, starting from 10:00 PM on July 31, more than 600 complaints about the Telegram outage were recorded. Among the most common issues were difficulties connecting to the server, improper functioning of the application, and troubles logging into accounts. Users from various countries, including Ukraine and Russia, noted the outages, with the number of complaints in Russia exceeding 3,600. Messenger representatives have not yet provided official explanations regarding the causes of the outage or its scope worldwide.It is worth noting that Telegram has started the process of establishing an official representation in Russia, which became known from the Roskomnadzor registry. Earlier, this messenger removed more than 20 Russian channels at the request of the Russian authorities, including VChK-OGPU, which had over a million subscribers. There have also been reports that the FSB may be monitoring Telegram users around the world, despite Durov's statements about its 'complete security'.
