The Ministry of Social Policy revealed the impact of the suspension of US aid on pensions and social payments.
The Minister of Social Policy Oksana Zholnovich stated that the suspension of non-military US aid currently does not have a significant impact on social projects in Ukraine. She noted that many agreements have been reached with partners from Europe and the United Kingdom, as well as with the World Bank, which systematically provides assistance. The suspension only concerns support for the public sector, not budget projects. The government ministry is conducting an analysis of which contractors will be affected by this funding suspension.
The suspension of non-military US aid does not affect social projects in Ukraine - Oksana Zholnovich
Although some projects are funded by the US Agency for International Development (USAID), the situation is not critical, as there is a wide network of international partners for the ministry. Recently, the US State Department issued a directive to suspend funding for all projects for 90 days, but this does not concern large social projects.
