According to Korrespondent.net: In South Korea, there was an incident involving the flagship smartphone Samsung Galaxy S25+. A user with the pseudonym Cheoeuijan-ah reported on the Samsung forum that while using the phone, it began to overheat and emit strange sounds.
Frightened, the man threw the smartphone on the floor, and it immediately burst into flames. The published photographs show that the device burned from the inside, and the battery pushed out the back cover. The owner suffered first-degree burns on his fingers, but as he noted, the case helped reduce the damage.
Company's Reaction
The affected user contacted the Samsung service center for a device check, but it was not possible to determine the exact cause of the ignition. However, the company refunded him the full cost of the burnt smartphone.
The user also mentioned at least four similar cases of spontaneous ignition of Galaxy S25+ models.

Ten years ago, the company faced a similar situation when its Galaxy Note 7 model led to numerous ignition cases, costing it at least one billion dollars in damages.
