Negotiations between Trump and Putin fell apart, and all the blame was placed on Biden.
The team of US President Donald Trump continues negotiations with the Kremlin. This information was commented on in the Kremlin itself.
Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov reported that the negotiations are progressing well, but it is still too early to talk about ready-made results. Peskov also added that contacts with Trump's team took place at various levels through foreign ministries, security services, and Putin's representative for investments, Kirill Dmitriev.
However, Peskov noted that immediate results should not be expected yet due to the 'damage' inflicted on Russian-American relations during Biden's presidency.
Answering a question about the meeting between Putin and Trump, Trump's spokesman stated that both sides are working together, but restoring relations requires a lot of work and patience.
Peskov added that such a meeting would need more time and effort. It is worth noting that after the negotiations of Steve Witkoff, Trump's special envoy, with Putin, Trump wished Russia to 'move forward'. However, Witkoff faced criticism in the US for his negotiations regarding Ukraine.
