No Western Parts Found in Russia’s Orieshnik Missile: A Quarter of US Components Are Counterfeit.
Strike on Ukraine
According to Novyny.live: On the night of May 24, Russia launched an attack on Ukraine using Orieshnik missiles. An investigation into the missile debris revealed that all components were sourced exclusively from Russia and Belarus. This finding confirms that no Western technologies or parts from other nations were used in this particular instance.
Quality Control Concerns
It has come to light that roughly 25% of American components potentially installed in Russian weaponry are fakes. This discovery highlights serious issues regarding the quality and reliability of materials used in Russia’s military industry.
“25% of American components are counterfeit,” said Vladyslav Vlasiuk, commenting on the situation.
Further analysis indicates that most parts for the Orieshnik missiles were manufactured before 2017. This suggests Russia may be relying on outdated technology and materials to produce its missiles. At present, Russia is believed to possess up to ten Orieshnik missile systems, raising global concerns about potential threats.
“Everything we have found so far is only from Russia and Belarus,” Vlasiuk emphasized, pointing to the absence of Western elements in the examined missiles. This information could be key to understanding the supply chains and production methods behind Russian military hardware.
This news underscores the importance of monitoring military equipment and component supply sources, especially amid escalating tensions between Russia and Ukraine. The fact that Orieshnik missiles contain no Western technology may indicate Russia’s reliance on domestic resources and its limited access to modern Western tech. It could also shape defense strategies for Ukraine and the international community in responding to Russian threats.
