Ukrainian intelligence officers reported that the body of pilot Dmitry Golenko, responsible for missile strikes on Ukraine, was found in Russia. The body was found in the village of Suponyevo near Bryansk.
Dmitry Golenko worked in the heavy bomber aviation regiment of the Russian Aerospace Forces, which is based at the Shaikovka airfield and is equipped with Tu-22M3 bombers. He also held the position of chief of staff of an aviation squadron.
According to intelligence, Golenko was involved in missile strikes on Ukrainian civilian targets, including the Amstor shopping center in the city of Kremenchuk, Poltava region, where 22 people were killed. He was also responsible for the missile strike on a residential building in Dnipro, which resulted in the death of 46 Ukrainians.
Golenko's body was found with head injuries, likely inflicted with a hammer.
This is not the first case of the elimination of Russian military criminals. Previously, officers of the Russian occupation army Dmitry Pervukha and Alexei Kolomeytsev were killed. Ukrainian units also eliminated the commander of the Russian airborne assault regiment, Alexander Kurin.
