A Monument to the 'NATO Soldier' Appeared in Russia.
In the town of Silikatny, located in the Ulyanovsk region, a monument to veterans of military operations, participants in local wars and armed conflicts depicted a NATO soldier. The opening of the monument took place on October 22. However, local residents noticed that this soldier is dressed in the uniform of the North Atlantic Alliance and holding American weapons.
This was exactly the intention. The monument featured 'trophy' M16 and M4 rifles. This became a cause for scandal, and soon the monument was dismantled.
In other regions of Russia, monuments are also being erected that become subjects of controversy. For example, in the Vologda region, they plan to install a monument to Joseph Stalin under the pretext of public demand. And in Saint Petersburg, a monument to Prigozhin has already been installed. Furthermore, in the Kirov region, during the reconstruction of a Soviet monument, the sculpture was replaced. To preserve the dismantled monument, it was buried in a special grave with honors.
