The US authorities require illegal migrants to register

The US authorities have decided that illegal migrants must register in a special register, otherwise they will face fines or be taken into custody. This information was published by 'Glavkom' referring to The Wall Street Journal.

The Wall Street Journal reports that all illegals who are over 14 years old will be required to provide fingerprints and their home addresses. If they do not comply, a fine of up to $5,000 will be imposed, or they will be taken into custody for 6 months. Previously, illegal presence in the US was not considered a criminal offense; it was simply possible to detain and deport them.

To implement this initiative, Washington aims to exploit the vulnerability of immigration legislation caused by the newspaper. After the registration begins, illegals will be given 30 days to provide their information.

US President Donald Trump has repeatedly expressed support for strengthening immigration policy. Already on January 20, after the inauguration, he signed an emergency order on the border with Mexico. The US Department of Homeland Security has strengthened the powers of American law enforcement, which has allowed for the rapid deportation of illegals without a court decision.

Earlier in the US, the acceptance of immigration applications from citizens of Ukraine and Latin American countries for entry into the country was suspended.

US President Donald Trump also stated that 'golden cards' that grant foreigners the right to live and work in the US will be sold for $5 million.
