Explosions and alert in Sumy
In the city of Sumy, in the early hours of August 6 at 04:22, a series of explosions occurred. This happened after the air raid alert was declared in the Sumy region, associated with a combined enemy attack. This was reported by "Suspilne Sumy".
It is worth noting that earlier in the night, the air raid alert in the Sumy region was canceled around 02:30 due to the combined enemy attack.
However, at 03:48, the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported enemy tactical aviation activity in the northeastern direction.
Earlier, it was emphasized about the activity of enemy tactical aviation in the northeastern direction at night, as well as the threat of using aviation weapons for frontline regions.
There is currently no official information about the causes of the explosions in Sumy. Local authorities and military have not yet commented on the situation.
It should be noted that today the alert was also declared in the capital, where loud explosions were heard.
As reported, as a result of an attack by Russian drones in the Izmail district of the Odesa region, two people were injured. An administrative building was partially destroyed and caught fire. The fire was promptly extinguished by employees of the State Emergency Service.
