The Armed Forces of Ukraine reported an increase in the number of women in the military.
Oleg Dombrovskyi from the 'West' operational command stated that the number of women in the Armed Forces of Ukraine is increasing. He noted that Ukrainian women work in various fields, including the military sphere.
Women in the Armed Forces of Ukraine
'The Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine, are consistently pursuing equality in military service for both men and women', emphasized Dombrovskyi.
He added that there are specific personnel responsible for gender issues to protect the rights of all groups. The Ukrainian army is actively implementing international experience in the field of gender equality.
'The interest of female servicemen in various functions and tasks is growing. Currently, we probably have no specific specialties where female servicemen are not present', he stressed.
It is important to note that the State Criminal Enforcement Service reported that 9,500 convicted individuals have already joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Earlier, the Armed Forces stated that the personnel of the TCC and recruitment centers are working in a 'mobile' format.
In all areas of society, it is important to support gender equality. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lag only behind the best world armies in this regard, providing women with the opportunity to actively participate in defending the country.
