Strikes on Russia on March 14

According to Novyny.live: On March 14, 2023, Ukraine’s defense forces carried out a series of strikes against Russian military and industrial infrastructure. Among the targets was the Maykop military airfield in the Republic of Adygea, as well as the Afipsky oil refinery in Krasnodar Krai, which has an annual processing capacity of 6.25 million tons. Additionally, the port of Kavkaz, located near Chushka in Krasnodar Krai, sustained damage.

Operations by Ukraine’s Defense Forces

The operations also included a strike on the Kremniy El facility in Bryansk, where the main production building was hit. The fire at this facility covered approximately 1,000 square meters, while the blaze at the warehouse spread over roughly 400 square meters. As a result of these attacks, production at Kremniy El could be halted for an estimated six months.

It is worth noting that on March 12, 2023, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) attacked the Tikhoretsk oil pumping station in Krasnodar Krai. Furthermore, the Ukrainian Armed Forces targeted the Donetsk airport, which Russia uses to launch Shahed drones. These actions highlight Ukraine’s intensified efforts to counter Russian military infrastructure.

These strikes are part of Ukraine’s broader strategy to weaken Russia’s military capabilities and reduce its ability to sustain combat operations. Damage to key infrastructure complicates resource supply chains and could have long-term consequences for Russia’s military activities in the region. The uptick in attacks also suggests a tactical shift by Ukraine, aiming to inflict harm not only on the front lines but also deep within enemy territory.
