The assaults damaged 10 private homes in Dobrenka and also affected the city zoo in Kharkiv. According to Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, 228 combat engagements were recorded over the past day as a result of the shelling.

On the Southern Slobozhanskyi front, Ukrainian troops repelled five attempted assaults, while on the Kupiansk front, defense forces held back four enemy attacks. The weaponry used included:

  • two missiles of an unknown type
  • four guided aerial bombs
  • 11 Shahed-136 attack drones
  • 8 Molniya drones
  • three FPV drones
  • 18 other unmanned aerial vehicles

These events unfolded across six districts of the Kharkiv region: Kharkiv, Shevchenkivskyi district, Kholodnohirskyi district, Izium district, Kupiansk district, and Bohodukhiv district. The shelling resulted in additional civilian casualties and inflicted significant damage on the region’s infrastructure.

These attacks are part of the ongoing military escalation in Ukraine, which continues to have severe repercussions for the civilian population. Given that the strikes target both urban and rural areas, the situation demands urgent humanitarian assistance for the victims. Furthermore, the rise in combat engagements highlights the intensity of the conflict, which could impact overall security in the region and necessitate stronger defensive positions for Ukrainian forces.
