The Ukrainian Crisis Media Center reported that the occupiers used an intercontinental ballistic missile during the strike on Ukraine. According to Valerii Chalyi, this strike is an attempt by Russia to enhance nuclear blackmail against Europe.

The diplomat noted that this is a psychological operation aimed at frightening with the threat of a third world war, as such use of a missile without a nuclear warhead is inappropriate from a military point of view.

Chalyi is convinced that Russia warned the Americans about its intentions to use the missile, so the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine acted in accordance with security protocols.

Official confirmation is necessary to wait and see whether the missile that Russia used was indeed intercontinental. It should be noted that earlier the Russians used such missiles to bypass the restrictions of the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty.

The head of the Ukrainian Crisis Media Center emphasized that there is no need to panic due to the intercontinental missile, as the situation for Ukrainians has not changed.

Today, the occupiers struck Dnipro for the first Time with an intercontinental ballistic missile launched from the Astrakhan region of Russia.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Russia is using Ukraine as a testing ground and confirmed that the occupiers struck with a new missile.

The exact characteristics of the missile remain unknown. However, estimates indicate that its launch weight is 40-50 tons, the range reaches 6,000 kilometers, and the missile can carry four separate warheads, each with a yield of 0.3 Mt.
