Agreement with Britain: Ukraine will receive 5000 high-precision interceptor missiles.

The Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov, announced the achievement of an important agreement with the United Kingdom to strengthen the country's air defense. A large-scale project, LMM-RapidRanger, is being launched, under which Ukraine will receive more than 5,000 LMM interceptor missiles and their launchers.
'As part of this initiative, we will receive more than 5,000 LMM (Lightweight Multirole Missile) interceptor missiles and their launchers,' said the minister.
According to Umerov, LMMs are high-precision missiles that effectively destroy Shahed drones. They have already been successfully used during 2022-2024.
'This agreement is one of the largest in Ukraine's history in the field of security and defense. The project, worth £1.6 billion, is aimed at strengthening Ukraine's air defense by 2030. It is financed through a loan guaranteed by the UK government agency UK Export Finance (UKEF),' the minister noted.
The project will be implemented jointly with the British company Thales, Ukrainian enterprises, and the government of the United Kingdom.
'In addition to the supply of weapons, the intergovernmental agreement provides for localizing production and transferring technology, which will strengthen our strategic independence in the field of air defense,' Umerov explained.
