Zelensky Sends Ukrainian Experts to the Middle East, Offering Drone Defense Know-How.
Ukraine Proposes Security Collaboration with Middle Eastern Nations
According to Novyny.live: President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced that Ukraine is ready to share its expertise in countering aerial threats, particularly drone attacks, with partners in the Middle East. In line with this, Kyiv has already dispatched teams of military specialists to countries in the region. The Ukrainian government emphasized the value of working alongside nations that are actively deploying advanced air defense systems.
The United States, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Jordan are among the countries with which Ukraine maintains communication. Zelensky noted that these states have already demonstrated their willingness to adopt cutting-edge defense technologies, pointing out that they used over 800 Patriot missiles within a span of 24 to 36 hours. This highlights the serious threats facing Middle Eastern countries and the urgent need for joint efforts to ensure security.
“We gave away what we had—what our American and European friends do not have... We are ready to help the Americans and also our allies in the Middle East.” - Volodymyr Zelensky
To this end, Ukraine has received requests from the United States and several Gulf nations for assistance in countering unmanned aerial vehicles. Cooperation in this area is crucial for strengthening the defense capabilities not only of Ukraine but also of its regional partners.
The Strategic Value of International Partnerships
Ukraine’s initiative to exchange experience in combating airborne threats underscores the strategic importance of global security cooperation and Kyiv’s willingness to play an active role in tackling modern challenges.
This move could significantly enhance Ukraine’s ties with Middle Eastern countries facing similar security issues, potentially paving the way for new alliances. Sharing drone countermeasure expertise and technologies may not only boost the defensive capacities of all involved parties but also strengthen Ukraine’s standing on the world stage amid the ongoing conflict in its own region.
