According to inkorr.com: On the night of August 28, the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck several key facilities on Russian territory. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, according to information from 'Khylya'.

In particular, the drone units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine targeted the Afipsky oil refinery in the Krasnodar region of the Russian Federation.

The oil refinery in the Krasnodar region, which supplies fuel to the army, suffered significant damage. The oil refinery in the Samara region was also affected, where an explosion occurred. As a result of the attacks, warehouses with ammunition and other important facilities supporting the Russian armed forces were damaged both on their own territory and in occupied Ukrainian lands.

Unexpected Consequences

The commander of the drone units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Robert (Madyar) Brovda, noted that fuel production in Russia decreased by 21% in August over two weeks, and as a result of the latest attack, fuel volumes dropped by another 4.7%. Currently, details about the strikes and their consequences are still being clarified.

Ukrainian forces struck important facilities on Russian territory, resulting in damage to oil refineries and logistical objects that affect the production and supply of fuel in the country. Ukrainian troops continue active operations, demonstrating their readiness to defend national interests.

These strikes emphasize the strategic importance of reducing Russian capabilities to supply fuel for military actions. Such measures can significantly influence the course of the conflict, depriving the enemy of key resources. How the subsequent events will unfold remains to be seen in the context of ongoing hostilities.
