Ukraine has sold the oil and gas area for the sixth time: who won the auction for 110 million.
According to ТСН: In Ukraine, for the sixth time, it was possible to sell a special permit for the development of the Lyubinets oil and gas area located in the Lviv region.
According to information from the UBIZ.ua platform, this permit was sold for over 110 million UAH (excluding VAT), which is twice the starting price. The Lyubinets area covers 83.87 square kilometers and is located in the Stryi and Drohobych districts of the Lviv region. This area allows for the extraction of natural gas, oil, gas dissolved in oil, and condensate. The term of use will be 20 years.
Financing and International Partnership
In the State Geological Service, it was emphasized that the funds from the sale of this special permit will go to the state budget and become part of the American-Ukrainian Investment Fund for Reconstruction, which meets Ukraine's international obligations.
Let us remind you that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine ratified the agreement on subsoil on May 8, which provides for economic partnership between Ukraine and the USA.
Earlier, it was reported by NYT that the agreement on mineral resources between Ukraine and the USA has already begun to be implemented.
This sale indicates the growing interest of investors in Ukrainian oil and gas resources, which may support the economy of the country during recovery after the war. The partnership with the USA in this sector opens up new prospects for Ukraine and facilitates the attraction of additional investments in important infrastructure projects.
