The Ukrainian company DOK-ING has opened an office in Ukraine and is localizing the production of demining equipment
The Croatian company DOK-ING has decided to localize its production in Ukraine and has already opened an office. This was announced by the First Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economy Yulia Svyrydenko. According to her, this indicates the company's serious plans for deepening localization. In addition, Ukraine has developed its own machine for humanitarian demining, which has already passed certification.
Moreover, Ukrainian production is receiving support through a program for compensating Ukrainian equipment and machinery. UN system agencies are also planning to purchase equipment in Ukraine. The government has already approved the procedure for certifying mechanized demining means according to international standards, and the first DOK-ING machine has successfully passed certification under the new MV-4 standard.
According to Svyrydenko, support for Ukrainian manufacturers of humanitarian demining machines has significant economic benefits, as 40% of the cost returns to the state budget in the form of taxes and levies. Additionally, Ukraine is implementing innovative projects such as a hackathon for innovators in the field of demining and the use of satellite imagery and artificial intelligence for prioritizing the demining of territories.
