Ukraine and the EU launch a fund for defense startups, says Fedorov.
The Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov announced that Ukraine and the European Union are jointly launching the Brave Tech EU fund to support defense startups. He shared this news with News.LIVE journalist Halyna Ostapovets during the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Italy.
Investment size in the project
The total investment in the fund will amount to 100 million euros. 'We are creating a fund that will support Ukrainian and European startups capable of responding to challenges on the battlefield,' Fedorov emphasized.
Today, unfortunately for Ukrainians, Ukraine has become the most powerful testing ground in the world - a place where technologies can be tested. If we stop for one day or one week, we will be losing in the technological war. Every day we are finding new solutions. Our manufacturers are testing on the battlefield. And the best thing we can do for our European partners is to help develop technologies that exist in Europe, test them with us on the battlefield, protect Ukrainians with these technologies, create joint productions, scale further, capitalize, and develop our economies, stopping the Russians.
