Ukraine and Lithuania have agreed on joint production of defense products
According to FREEДOM: Ukraine and Lithuania have joined forces for joint production of defense products to strengthen the security of both countries. The defense ministers of Ukraine and Lithuania, Denys Shmyhal and Dovilė Šakalienė, signed the relevant agreement, reports FREEДОМ.
During the meeting, the launch of joint enterprises and technology exchange were discussed. Shmyhal emphasized that this is an important signal of support for the Ukrainian army in the future. He also expressed gratitude to Vilnius for the ongoing assistance to the Ukrainian military on the path to victory.
“It is very important that Lithuania plans to allocate 0.25% of its GDP for military assistance to Ukraine until 2027. This is a significant signal of long-term support for our warriors. We are actively working on attracting additional funding for the procurement of weapons and the development of the Ukrainian defense industry,” emphasized Shmyhal.
