Ukraine and US Set to Finalize $800 Billion Agreements

According to Novyny.live: On January 16th, a Ukrainian delegation will meet with U.S. officials in Miami to finalize agreements on security guarantees and economic prosperity for Ukraine. Ukraine's Ambassador to the U.S., Oksana Markarova, announced the talks, highlighting the importance of active consultations with the American side. These negotiations are part of ongoing efforts to solidify Western support for Ukraine's future.

Key Ukrainian Officials Involved

The high-level Ukrainian delegation will include:

  • Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Oleksiy Danilov
  • Head of the President's Office, Andriy Yermak
  • Head of the parliamentary faction 'Servant of the People', David Arakhamia

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has stated that work is underway on deals with a total value of up to $800 billion.

"Ukraine continues active consultations with the American side on shaping the future security architecture and long-term economic development of the state," noted Oksana Markarova.

She also emphasized that the purpose of the delegation's visit to the U.S. is to refine these agreements with American partners. The deals are planned to be signed during the World Economic Forum in Davos.

The upcoming talks represent a critical step in strengthening the strategic partnership between the two nations, particularly given the ongoing security situation in the region. An agreement of this magnitude could significantly impact Ukraine's economic development, providing financial resources for the recovery and modernization of its infrastructure. Furthermore, these pacts are expected to lay the groundwork for continued Kyiv-Washington cooperation in security and economics, which is vital amid growing global challenges.
