Sweden and Ukraine Join Forces to Co-Produce the MAUL Unmanned Surface Vessel: Key Details.
Partnership Between AIDronesUA and NJORD Technology AB
According to Espreso.tv: A strategic partnership agreement was signed at the Eurosatory-2026 exhibition in Paris between AIDronesUA and NJORD Technology AB. The core objective of this collaboration is the joint production of the cutting-edge MAUL unmanned surface vessel (USV), a system developed using real-world combat experience.
Manufacturing of the MAUL USV is planned to take place in Sweden. This alliance aims to integrate advanced technologies into unmanned systems, which could significantly improve the operational effectiveness of USVs in combat scenarios.
Latest Combat Situation Report
In addition, regarding the current front-line situation, as of 4:00 PM on June 16, 2023, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine released an operational update. During the first day of the report, 73 engagements were recorded:
- On the North-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk axes, one enemy assault was repelled.
- On the South-Slobozhanskyi axis, two attacks were stopped.
- On the Kupiansk axis, two attempts by occupiers were halted.
- On the Lyman axis, nine hostile attacks were recorded.
- On the Sloviansk axis, the enemy attempted to attack five times.
- On the Kramatorsk axis, one assault action was carried out.
- On the Kostiantynivka axis, there were seven attacks, six of which were successfully repelled.
- On the Pokrovsk axis, 24 assault actions occurred, with 22 successfully stopped.
- On the Oleksandrivka axis, two attack attempts were recorded.
- On the Huliaipole axis, 18 attacks took place, 15 of which were repelled.
- On the Orikhiv and Pridniprovskyi axes, no enemy offensive actions were recorded.
Therefore, the signing of the memorandum between AIDronesUA and NJORD Technology AB at the Eurosatory-2026 exhibition marks a significant step forward in advancing military technologies. It also reflects the ongoing active combat operations on the front line.
