Has Ukraine lost another F-16? The Air Force made a statement.

A Ukrainian military official confirms that the information about the Russian forces shooting down an F-16 aircraft is false. This fake news caused public concern, but in reality, Ukrainian pilots successfully completed their mission. This was stated by the chief of communications of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yuriy Ihnat.

«Russian propaganda has once again spread information about our aircraft being shot down! This time it’s an F-16. «All targets are destroyed!» – Russian units are spreading!» – Ihnat wrote.»

According to reports, Ukrainian pilots continue to carry out combat missions daily. Ihnat expressed his pride in the achievements of the pilots.

It is worth noting that pilot Oleksiy Mes, who was awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine posthumously, flew one of the F-16 aircraft received from allies. This aircraft was lost by Ukraine during a massive attack by the Russian Federation. According to the publication Breaking Defense, this aircraft was shot down by debris from a Russian missile.

The Pentagon refused to assist Ukraine in the investigation regarding this loss.

Interestingly, Mes supported the transfer of F-16 fighters to Ukraine. He himself advocated for the necessity of protecting airspace and carried out international missions.
