Ukraine to Launch Fuel Rebate Program for Drivers.
New Support Package Announced in Ukraine
According to TSN.ua: The Ukrainian government is preparing a new support package, which includes a fuel rebate program allowing citizens to recover a portion of their fuel expenses. This initiative will be implemented following discussions with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. This move comes as part of broader economic measures to assist citizens during a period of significant financial strain.
Fuel Rebate Program Details
The planned rebate rates are as follows:
- 15% of the cost of diesel fuel;
- 10% of the cost of gasoline;
- 5% of the cost of autogas (LPG).
The program will be available at all participating gas stations. The fuel rebate is planned to be credited through the state-run "National Cashback" program, which currently has approximately 9.4 million registered users.
The fuel rebate program is temporary and will operate until May 1. As of March 12, 2023, average fuel prices in Ukraine were: A-92 gasoline - 67.74 UAH per liter, A-95 - 69.76 UAH, A-95+ - 73.62 UAH, A-100 - 80.46 UAH, diesel fuel - 72.28 UAH per liter, and autogas - 42.41 UAH.
