Battlefield Update

According to UATV: Active combat operations continue across the front, with 132 engagements recorded since April 1. Ukrainian forces achieved notable success in March, destroying 4,000 Russian targets. Among enemy losses were over 2,000 infantry personnel killed in Ukrainian strikes.

During the same month, Ukrainian troops eliminated nearly 300 ammunition depots, 62 artillery systems, and more than 9,000 unmanned aerial vehicles, significantly degrading the adversary’s military capabilities. A standout operation was the 81st Airmobile Brigade’s halting of the largest motorized assault on the Sloviansk axis.

Enemy Plans and Ukrainian Preparedness

Russian forces aim to capture the city of Kostiantynivka by April 25, but Ukrainian military leaders deem this objective unattainable.

'This task is impossible,' stated retired Major General Mykola Malomuzh.
He further emphasized that
'we are demonstrating that the enemy has no prospects whatsoever,'
casting doubt on Moscow’s strategic plans as Ukrainian forces actively prepare counterstrikes.

Fierce fighting continues on multiple front sectors. On the Pokrovsk axis, clashes are occurring near:

  • Bilytske
  • Rodynske
  • Novooleksandrivka
  • Kotlyne
  • Udachne
  • Molodetske
  • Filiia

On the Huliaipole axis, combat operations are underway in:

  • Varvativka
  • Zaliznychne
  • Hirke
  • Sviatopetrivka
  • Yelenokostiantynivka
  • Myrne

Given the current situation, Ukrainian troops are actively reinforcing their positions while the enemy awaits favorable conditions for an offensive.

'The enemy is waiting for the appearance of 'green cover,' when everything starts blooming. During this period, we are also preparing to launch counterstrikes,' noted Mykola Malomuzh.
This underscores the constant readiness of Ukrainian forces to respond to any shifts on the battlefield.

The front remains tense, with active combat and significant losses on both sides. Ukrainian forces continue to demonstrate effectiveness in combat operations, particularly by destroying strategic enemy assets. Meanwhile, the adversary persists in its attempts to seize new territory, which could substantially influence the conflict’s trajectory. Given the data on engagements and preparations for counterstrikes, the frontline situation remains dynamic and requires continuous monitoring.
