Ukrainians were explained what allowed to improve the situation in energy.
Stabilization of the situation in the energy sector of Ukraine
Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal reported that the situation in the country's energy sector is stabilizing.
According to Shmyhal, this became possible due to two key factors.
The first factor is the completion of repair work on two nuclear power plant units faster than planned.
The second factor is the decrease in air temperature, which led to a reduction in electricity consumption.
“The government continues to prepare for the autumn-winter period and the development of alternative generation sources,” noted the Prime Minister.
State support programs for the creation of distributed generation of electricity have already been launched, and there are also the first examples of lending to businesses and individuals to ensure energy sustainability.
An important step was the signing of the law on the abolition of import duties and VAT for energy equipment by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky. From July 27, 2024, citizens and businesses can import generators, inverters, batteries, and charging stations with preferential treatment.
Currently, no blackout schedules are being applied in Ukraine.
