Ukrainians have been shown what is happening with cucumber and tomato prices at the end of February.
According to the data from the Minfin portal, vegetable prices in Ukraine changed at the end of February.
In spring, Ukrainians began to pay more attention to fresh vegetables and prepare vitamin salads. But how affordable are the main ingredients, such as cucumbers and tomatoes?
According to market analysis, prices for ordinary cucumbers rose by 17% in February, with the average price per kilogram being 134.90 UAH. However, the price for smooth cucumbers remained stable at 149.53 UAH/kg. Meanwhile, the most significant increase was seen in 'Estafeta' cucumbers, reaching 375.00 UAH/kg. Short-fruited cucumbers also increased in price to 135.90 UAH/kg.
As for tomato prices, they showed a downward trend in February. The price of red tomatoes decreased by 13% and is now 106.77 UAH/kg. However, pink tomatoes have risen in price to 189.90 UAH/kg. Particularly notable was the price decrease for tomatoes, which is now 110.70 UAH/kg.
Attention! Starting from March 1, bread prices will also increase.
