Ukrainians in 2025 may receive two pensions at once: who and under what conditions.

Ukrainians were told who will receive two pensions at once in 2025.

According to Law 1058-IV 'On Mandatory State Pension Insurance', certain citizens of Ukraine will have the right to receive two types of pension payments.

The Ukrainian pension payment system generally provides for the receipt of only one pension. However, there are categories of citizens who deserve to receive two pension payments or additional supplements to the main pension. These benefits are granted to certain groups of the population with special merits or under special categories established by law.

In Ukraine, there is a special procedure for receiving pension payments. Usually, a citizen can receive only one pension, but there are several exceptional categories of citizens who have the right to two types of pension payments or additional supplements to the main pension. Such benefits are provided for specific groups of the population with special merits or falling under special categories established by law.

Those who are entitled to two pension payments include:

• persons with disabilities;
• citizens caring for persons with disabilities.

The appointment of disability pension is foreseen if the person became disabled due to a general illness that led to complete or partial loss of working capacity and has the experience required by law.

This means providing social assistance or appointing a disability pension and additional supplements to it.

Social supplements to the disability pension are received by persons caring for a child with a disability, adults with disabilities since childhood of the first group, and single persons with any group of disability.

Some citizens are entitled to receive two pension payments after the death of the breadwinner (payments due to the loss of the breadwinner and state social assistance): persons with disabilities since childhood and minor children.

The amount of such assistance depends on the group and subgroup of the person and can range from 1.28 thousand to 6.39 thousand hryvnias.

To receive an additional supplement, it is necessary to contact the nearest branch of the Pension Fund of Ukraine and present the required documents.
