In Poland, in the Opole Voivodeship, a 48-year-old Ukrainian died during an attempt by law enforcement officers to handcuff him due to aggressive behavior. This is reported by RMF FM.

It is noted that the incident occurred after police officers arrived on a call from the owner of one of the companies in Krzywizna.  The 48-year-old man wanted to get a job at the company. During the conversation, he reportedly became aggressive, a fight broke out, and the businessman called the rescue service.

When police officers arrived at the scene, the man refused to identify himself and did not respond to the officers' commands, although according to the police, he spoke with them in Polish.

When a female police officer and a patrolman decided to take the man to the police station to establish his identity, he began to resist.

«The uniformed officers tried to handcuff him and used various techniques. Suddenly, the 48-year-old man lost consciousness. An ambulance was called, but medics could not recover the man's vital functions», - writes RMF FM.

The prosecutor's office has already started an investigation into involuntary manslaughter. An autopsy, toxicological, and histopathological examinations have been scheduled.

Recall that the Wrocław Voivodeship Court sentenced those involved in the murder of 25-year-old Ukrainian Dmytro Nykyforenko in the Wrocław sobering-up facility. Seven defendants received sentences ranging from 1.5 to 5 years in prison. Among the convicted are four former police officers, a doctor, and four employees of the Wrocław Center for Assistance to Persons in State of Alcohol Intoxication.
