Ukrainian women offered to acquire a profession in 'green energy': details.
Ukraine is actively transitioning to renewable energy sources, particularly solar power plants, to become energy independent. This also opens opportunities for women in the renewable energy sector. This information is reported by Greenpeace Ukraine.
The organizations 'Women in Tech Ukraine', Greenpeace Ukraine, and the humanitarian organization 'People in Need' announce a free training course 'Solar Plant Installer'. This project is financially supported by the Czech people.
The course will include:
- 3 weeks of intensive training (April-May 2025)
- Theoretical and practical classes on the installation of photovoltaic modules
- Weekly hands-on practice in Kyiv
- Professional certificate
- Job prospects in the solar energy sector
Women interested in solar power plants, with a basic technical education or experience in related fields, residing in Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, or Mykolaiv regions, and willing to undergo a one-week practice in Kyiv - can apply. Recruitment is ongoing from March 25 to April 11.
It is also worth noting that in 2024, the number of individual entrepreneurs with hired employees significantly increased in Ukraine. Overall, they provided jobs for 673 thousand workers. This information is reported by 'Open Data Bot' referencing data from Glavkom.
