Ukrainian Drones Strike Deeper Into Russian Supply Lines: Range Extended to 150 Kilometers.
Ukraine's Advancements in Unmanned Aerial Systems
According to UATV: Ukraine has significantly expanded the reach of its drone technology, enabling strikes on Russian military logistics from greater distances. Thanks to improvements in communication systems and battery technology, Ukrainian defense forces can now hit targets up to 150 kilometers away. This development marks a major shift in the conflict, giving Ukraine a new edge in disrupting enemy supply chains.
On June 6, 2023, Yuriy Fedorenko, commander of the 429th separate brigade of unmanned systems 'Achilles,' appeared on the FREEДOM TV channel. He explained that new batteries can store twice as much energy without changing size or weight. This breakthrough allows drones to fly farther and carry out missions more effectively.
“If a battery stays the same size and weight but its capacity doubles, a drone that previously could fly 30 kilometers can now operate at distances of 60 kilometers or more,” Fedorenko stated.
Fedorenko also highlighted improvements in signal quality: 'Our drones are now equipped with high-quality control systems and video transmission capabilities.' These upgrades enable Ukrainian forces to keep a close watch on Russian logistics hubs located roughly 30 kilometers from the front line.
“The enemy's logistics in rear areas are no longer just uncomfortable—they are literally burning,” Fedorenko added.
This technological leap gives Ukrainian defenders a clear advantage. As Fedorenko put it, 'Progress today is not measured in small steps, but in giant leaps.' Modern drone systems are reshaping battlefield dynamics and making long-range operations more effective than ever.
How Technology Is Changing the Battlefield
Better drone technology in Ukraine is not only boosting combat performance but also altering the tactical landscape. The ability to strike deep into enemy territory and monitor supply routes could weaken Russian operational capacity, potentially shifting the overall momentum of the war.
These innovations highlight the growing role of advanced technology in modern warfare, where drones are becoming a decisive factor on the front lines.
