Ukrainian Strikes Target Crimea and Donetsk, Destroying S-400 System and Ammunition Depot.
Ukrainian Defense Forces Conduct Operations
According to UATV: On March 4, Ukrainian defense units struck Russian logistical sites and troop concentrations in the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Crimea. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported the results of these strikes on March 5. These actions are part of Ukraine's ongoing campaign to degrade Russian military capabilities on occupied land.
Outcomes of the Attacks
The operations resulted in the destruction of:
- an ammunition depot near Nyzhnya Krynka;
- material and technical equipment near Chystyakove;
- a ground-based relay station in the Chernomorske area of Crimea;
- an enemy troop concentration near Berezove in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast;
- an enemy troop concentration near Pokrovsk, Donetsk Oblast.
According to the General Staff, the attacks eliminated 900 occupying troops and destroyed over 40 artillery systems. A highly valuable S-400 'Triumph' anti-aircraft missile system, estimated to be worth around one billion dollars, was also destroyed. The destruction of such a high-value asset represents a significant strategic and financial blow to Russian air defenses. These strikes underscore the continued activity of Ukrainian forces in responding to enemy aggression in occupied territories.
The operations by Ukraine's defense forces highlight the ongoing, active campaign to regain control over occupied regions. The destruction of strategic targets and the infliction of significant enemy losses are likely to impact the future course of the conflict, potentially shifting the balance of forces on the front line. Given the scale of these operations, the Ukrainian military continues to demonstrate a capacity for effective responses to threats against the country's security.
