Ukrainian soldiers captured two soldiers from North Korea
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported that Ukrainian military captured two soldiers from North Korea who fought in Khurschyn against Ukraine. He noted that this was a difficult task, as usually Russians and other military personnel from North Korea kill their wounded, but these two soldiers were captured alive. The President also thanked the soldiers of tactical group No. 84 of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the paratroopers who captured these individuals and are now providing them with necessary medical assistance. Zelensky also placed the responsibility on the Security Service of Ukraine to ensure journalists have access to the captives, so the world can learn what is happening.
According to the Security Service of Ukraine, one of the North Korean soldiers was captured by fighters of tactical group No. 84 of the Special Operations Forces, and the other by the paratroopers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Both soldiers were brought to Kyiv for investigative actions. Communication with them is conducted through Korean language translators, in joint work with the intelligence of South Korea. One of the captives stated that he was born in 2005 and has served in North Korea since 2021. He claims that he was going for training, not to fight against Ukraine. The other captive confirmed the testimony of his 'partner'.
Let us remind you that if the Ukrainian troops retreat from Khurschyn, then 60,000 Russian soldiers, who are deployed there by Russia, will follow the Armed Forces of Ukraine into Ukraine and occupy more territory.
