Ukraine has begun synchronizing sanctions with partners - Zelensky.
Synchronization of sanctions against the Russian Federation
This news was announced by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on Telegram on July 21.
According to Zelensky's explanation, now partners' sanctions will apply in Ukrainian jurisdiction, and Ukrainian restrictions will extend to the jurisdictions of our partners. He considers this process very important but complex. He placed responsibility for this issue on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the National Security and Defense Council.
At the same time, the president emphasized that not all packages of European Union sanctions are synchronized even in non-EU countries. Zelensky called for strengthening sanctions against Russia and correcting this situation.
The head of state stressed the importance of Ukrainian-American cooperation in the sanctions area. Zelensky noted that cooperation with the United States aims to protect against Russian attacks, which is important for global security.
Additionally, Ukraine has specific agreements with President Donald Trump regarding various areas of cooperation. Zelensky called for their implementation and strengthening of sanctions measures in other countries.
Recall that on July 19, the Deputy Head of the President's Office announced a new US sanctions package against Russia, and on July 18, EU embassies approved the 18th sanctions package against Russia.
Zelensky conveyed that Ukraine has begun synchronizing sanctions against Russia, which he considers very important for national security.
