Ukrainian Drone Now Reaches Siberia: FP-1 Range Extended to 2,700 km.
Fire Point Unveils New Drone and Missile Lineup
According to UATV: At the Eurosatory 2026 defense exhibition in Paris, Ukrainian company Fire Point introduced a fresh lineup of attack drones and missile systems. A standout innovation is the upgraded FP-1 kamikaze drone, whose operational range has jumped from 1,650 km to 2,700 km. This enhancement enables the drone to strike targets in Western Siberia—a major leap forward in unmanned aerial capabilities. For context, this range now covers distances comparable to flying from London to the Caspian Sea, underscoring the strategic shift in Ukraine's drone warfare potential.
The FP-1's extended reach comes from a redesigned wing that incorporates an additional fuel tank. The drone's presentation included footage of strikes on oil refineries in Moscow, highlighting the military focus of these new developments.
New Reconnaissance Drones and Missiles
Alongside the FP-1, Fire Point showcased the 'Kazhan' and 'Shmavyk' reconnaissance drones, expanding the company's product portfolio. They also announced a jet-powered cruise missile capable of hitting targets up to 150 km away, further broadening the tactical options for Ukrainian forces.
The debut of these technologies at Eurosatory 2026 underscores Ukraine's active role in developing and deploying modern military systems amid the ongoing conflict. The increased drone range could significantly alter combat tactics, giving Ukrainian troops new ways to operate in challenging geographic settings. It also demonstrates that Ukrainian manufacturers can produce competitive products for the global arms market.
