Ukrainian Rescuer Develops One-of-a-Kind Firefighting Trailer Set for Mass Production.

Innovative Trailer for Fire Suppression

According to UATV: A Ukrainian rescuer has designed a unique trailer for firefighting vehicles, and it is now headed for serial production. The State Emergency Service of Ukraine has taken delivery of this specialized trailer, which is named after its creator. The trailer was built to accompany the LUF GP-7000, a special vehicle donated to Ukraine by the German Society for International Cooperation.

Key Features of the New Trailer

Equipped with a custom pump, the trailer can fill a large heavy-duty fire tanker in just five minutes. It holds over 8,000 liters, dramatically boosting firefighting efficiency. Rescuer Oleksandr Krotuk explained,

'This vehicle fills a large heavy-duty fire tanker in 5 minutes. More than 8,000 liters — in up to 5 minutes, and it's completely full.' — Oleksandr Krotuk

Additionally, the new mobile rapid-response unit for drone systems is the only one of its kind in Europe. It enables swift reactions to emergencies, especially since rescue teams often face significant challenges during missions.

'It allows the pump to be lowered into the water and the line to be wound up. Just imagine: 4 km of fire hoses — that's a huge amount, very hard on the crew.' — Oleksandr Krotuk

It is important to note that this trailer resulted from collaboration between Ukrainian rescuers and foreign manufacturers. Krotuk proposed a solution to improve pump performance: installing a booster intermediate pump that raises the pressure to the required level.

Dubbed the 'Krotuk Edition,' the trailer highlights the Ukrainian rescuer's contribution to its development. As a result, this new equipment not only enhances firefighting effectiveness but also stands as a symbol of cooperation between Ukraine and European partners in civil protection.

The acquisition of this firefighting trailer marks a significant step in strengthening the capabilities of Ukrainian emergency services.
