UPC Slovakia Now Carries Ukrainian TV Channel 'Dim' Across All Its Service Packages.
Ukrainian TV Channel 'Dim' Expands Reach in Slovakia
According to UATV: The Ukrainian television channel 'Dim' (Home) is now included in every programming package offered by the Slovak telecommunications provider UPC Slovakia. This expansion is the result of a renewed partnership between UPC Slovakia and Ukraine's National Public Broadcasting Company, the state-owned 'Multimedia Platform of Foreign Broadcasting of Ukraine.' The move significantly broadens access for the Ukrainian diaspora residing abroad.
Targeting Ukrainians living outside their home country, 'Dim' broadcasts via the HOTBIRD-13G satellite, ensuring a high-quality signal. As part of this collaboration, viewers will also have access to services from UPC Broadband Slovakia, which serves over 600,000 Slovak households. This development is part of a wider trend of European providers expanding content for Ukrainian communities displaced by the ongoing war.
Viewing Options and Package Details
UPC Slovakia provides several television bundles to subscribers, including:
- The 'Fun' package, featuring more than 120 channels
- The 'Mega' package, which offers 155 channels
Subscribers can watch 'Dim' not only on traditional televisions but also on smartphones, tablets, and computers. For maximum convenience, the UPC TV mobile app is available for download on Google Play and the App Store, enabling viewing of favorite programs anytime and anywhere.
This increased availability of the 'Dim' channel through UPC Slovakia is designed to enhance informational support for Ukrainians abroad. The channel provides vital content reflecting Ukrainian culture, news, and other programming relevant to citizens living in Slovakia and other nations. Expanding access to such media resources helps maintain cultural identity, strengthens connections with the homeland, and supports the diaspora in adapting to life in new environments.
