Ukraine’s Vepr Robot Debuts in Combat: Evacuates Wounded and Hauls 350 kg of Supplies.
Battle-Proven: The Vepr Robotic System in Action
According to Espreso.tv: Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense has released details on the combat performance of the upgraded Vepr robotic platform, a system designed for military use and capable of handling a wide range of missions. Since 2024, the Vepr has been deployed in active combat zones, proving its effectiveness in real-world operations.
The Vepr can transport up to 350 kg of cargo, making it a versatile asset for resupplying frontline units. With a range of 40 km on a single charge or tank of fuel, it offers strong battlefield mobility. It can also evacuate two wounded soldiers simultaneously—a critical capability for providing medical support under fire.
Rapid Deployment and New Weapon Systems
Ground robotic systems like the Vepr now complete up to 10,000 missions each month, highlighting their operational tempo and growing importance in modern warfare. In May 2026, Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense officially codified 175 new weapon and military equipment models, including several ground robotic platforms:
- Gnome
- Ghost-Killer
- Vepr
- Ivy+
- Ratel X
This initiative aims to strengthen the combat capabilities of Ukraine’s defense forces amid evolving battlefield conditions.
The introduction of robotic systems like the Vepr marks a major step forward in Ukraine’s military technology modernization. These platforms not only improve mission effectiveness but also open new avenues for medical evacuation—an increasingly vital need in high-intensity conflict. As the battlefield continues to shift, expanding the inventory of unmanned ground vehicles helps Ukrainian troops adapt to emerging threats and operational demands.
