Ukrzaliznytsia Announces Major Rail Disruptions for February 13.
Ukrzaliznytsia Adjusts Train Schedules
According to Novyny.live: Due to shelling and security concerns in specific regions, Ukrzaliznytsia, Ukraine's state railway, has announced significant alterations to train services for February 13, 2023. These ongoing disruptions are a direct consequence of Russia's full-scale invasion, which continues to impact civilian infrastructure. While trains continue to operate in the Chernihiv and Sumy oblasts, albeit with modifications, service between Snovsk and Bakhmach in the Chernihiv region has been temporarily suspended.
Northern and Regional Service Status
The security situation in northern Ukraine remains particularly difficult. Because of heightened risks, the Lozova — Barvinkove — Kramatorsk line currently has no rail service. Ukrzaliznytsia urges passengers to exercise caution and monitor updates via the company's official app for the latest information.
Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia oblasts are also designated as high-risk zones. Consequently, the primary connection between Dnipro and Zaporizhzhia is being maintained via bus transfers. In this context, the charitable foundation 'Proliska' is providing crucial support for these bus services, a vital measure for maintaining public mobility in affected areas.
Ukrzaliznytsia warns passengers that further schedule changes are possible and advises them to follow official channels closely. The situation remains fluid, and adjustments can occur at any moment. Passenger safety is the top priority, and the railway is continuously working to adapt its services to the prevailing conditions.
The ongoing adjustments to Ukrzaliznytsia's train schedules underscore the persistent security challenges across Ukraine, especially in its northern and eastern regions.
Ukrzaliznytsia
Amid the ongoing war, the rail network must constantly adapt to a rapidly changing operational environment, requiring increased vigilance from passengers. The support from charitable organizations like 'Proliska' highlights the importance of collective efforts to sustain civilian mobility during this protracted conflict.
