ARTA Awards 2024: The Best Asian Restaurants and Takeaways in Britain Announced.
According to The Sun: The prestigious annual awards announced the best curry restaurants in Britain.
Asian Restaurants and Takeaways Awards (ARTA), which celebrate pan-Asian cuisine in the UK, presented this year's finalists, with overall winners to be revealed on October 6.
AlamyThis year, the awards assess over 1,300 establishments nominated by guests and food enthusiasts.
The awards are considered among the most prestigious in Asian gastronomy, bringing together leading restaurateurs, politicians, and celebrities.
The awards identify the best Indian and pan-Asian restaurants in each region of the country, along with other prizes such as 'Graduate of the Year', 'Street Food Restaurant of the Year', and 'Asian Fusion Restaurant of the Year'.
Among the finalists in the 'Graduate of the Year' category are Solas-Kitchen from Dalgety Bay, The Bombay in Swanley, Durbar Spice in Orpington, and MITR Restaurant in Royston.
Competing in the 'Street Food Restaurant of the Year' category are Punjabi Heaven from Leeds, My Delhi Newcastle in Newcastle, Mr Chaat in Bolton, and Zaap Thai Street Food from Nottingham.
Finalists in the 'Restaurant of the Year – Region' category include Himalayan in Belfast, Firangi from Glasgow, Spice Delight in Penarth, and Freya’s Grill in Darwen.
In the 'Takeaway Restaurant of the Year – Region' category, contenders are Slumdog Delivered from Edinburgh, The Maharaja in Manchester, Mela Indian Takeaway from Bristol, and Malabar Feast in London.
