Ukraine to Allocate 11.2 Billion Hryvnias for Protecting 210 Key Infrastructure Sites.
Funding for Critical Infrastructure Protection
According to TSN.ua: Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers is set to allocate over 11 billion hryvnias to bolster the security of 210 critical infrastructure facilities across ten regions, including the Kyiv region. This decision aims to safeguard energy assets and strategically vital sites. The move comes amid ongoing efforts to fortify national resilience against external threats.
At the upcoming government session, 11.2 billion hryvnias will be directed from the state budget's reserve fund. Yulia Svyrydenko stated,
“We are preparing to allocate 11.2 billion hryvnias from the state budget reserve fund at the next Government meeting for these tasks.”She also noted that the government is finalizing deregulation measures and additional business support initiatives.
Affordable Lending Program
Separately, as part of efforts to improve the business climate, a new affordable lending program is being developed to help enterprises boost their energy independence. Loans under this initiative will carry a fixed annual interest rate of 7% for the entire contract term. These steps are part of a comprehensive strategy to strengthen the country's economic security and infrastructure.
The planned funding for critical infrastructure aims to enhance safety amid modern challenges, particularly the energy crisis and national security threats. Such actions reflect the government's strategic approach to protecting key facilities that underpin state operations. Furthermore, the affordable lending program could serve as a vital tool for supporting businesses during economic instability, thereby contributing to Ukraine's overall economic strengthening.
