Ukraine has created a unique AI drone: it hits targets at over 50 km
A participant in the cluster for the development of military technologies in Ukraine, Brave1, and the Third Separate Assault Brigade have created a unique drone with artificial intelligence. This unmanned aerial vehicle helps strike enemy targets at a distance of over 50 kilometers. This was reported by Ukraine's Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov on Monday, August 11, via Telegram.

A drone with artificial intelligence has been created in Ukraine — characteristics

'It helps hit targets at 50+ km — participants of Brave1 and the 3rd Assault Brigade have created a unique AI drone', the head of the Ministry of Digital Transformation reported.

He also added that often Ukrainian defense innovations are born directly on the battlefield — from the ideas of military engineers and developers. This is how the Dophin Spider came to be. The history of this development began in the R&D laboratories of the 3rd Assault Brigade.

Dophin is the gaming nickname of a fallen comrade of the developers. The drone is named in his honor — and is already carrying vengeance against enemies at a distance of 50+ km.

Engineers of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade, together with Omnitech, developed a unique drone, and Brave1 helped codify it for further deployment in the military.

Fedorov noted that this drone exceeds foreign analogues in key indicators and autonomously identifies terrain using artificial intelligence algorithms.

The main role of the AI drone is to provide reliable communication for strike UAVs deep in enemy territory. Thanks to the Spider, Ukrainian drones appear where the enemy does not expect them.

According to the minister, the 'Trio' is already destroying air defense systems, logistics, and other priority enemy targets using the Dophin Spider.

Recently it became known how many drones the occupiers have launched at Ukraine since the beginning of 2025.

Earlier, an aviation expert answered whether Russia would be able to fully switch to jet drones.

The unique AI drone presented in the news, developed by Ukrainian engineers, helps the military strike from large distances from the front line. This technology has become another indicator of the innovative development of the Ukrainian army.
