Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary 2024: greetings in prose, poems, and bright postcards.

From September 1, 2023, the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU) and the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church (UGCC) transitioned to the new Julian church calendar, and now all non-transitional holidays with fixed dates are celebrated 13 days earlier. Therefore, in 2024, parishioners of these churches celebrate the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary on August 15.

On the First Repose – one of the twelve major church feasts – believers remember the end of the earthly life of the Virgin Mary and her bodily Assumption into heaven, the eternal reunion with her Son the Savior.
