According to Vadym Skibitskyi, deputy head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, even if the USA supplies Ukraine with long-range Tomahawk missiles, they will be difficult to use due to the absence of strategic aircraft in our country.
Ukraine will not be able to use Tomahawk missiles
'These missiles are not easy to use. The main launch platforms are combat ships or strategic bombers. We do not have any strategic bomber aviation,' Skibitskyi explained.
Skibitskyi emphasized the importance of Ukraine's ability to strike 'kinetic' hits inside Russia on important military targets. At the same time, negotiations are ongoing to remove restrictions on the use of ATACMS missiles with a range of 300 km.
During discussions about the possibility of receiving Tomahawk missiles, it is important to take into account the existing restrictions and the need for appropriate launch platforms for their effective use. It was also noted about the possibility of Ukrainian strikes on Russian territory and discussions about the possible removal of restrictions on the use of other missiles with shorter ranges.Read also
