Odessa to Activate 17 Fountains Starting April 1.
Springtime Fountain Preparations Underway
According to Novyny.live: Odessa is ramping up preparations to bring its fountains back to life for the spring season. The first fountain is scheduled to be turned on April 1, marking the start of a citywide rollout. Municipal crews are currently cleaning fountain basins, inspecting equipment, and carrying out minor repairs to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Around 165 workers from the 'Service Center' enterprise are involved in the daily maintenance efforts, aiming to get all 17 of the city's fountains ready for operation. This initiative is part of a broader push to enhance public amenities as warmer weather approaches.
Public Transport Services to Resume
In addition to the fountain activation, Odessa plans to resume tram and trolleybus services starting April 1. This dual focus on both recreational and transportation infrastructure reflects the city's comprehensive approach to improving urban life during the spring season. The return of these services is expected to boost mobility and make the city more attractive to both residents and tourists.
These coordinated efforts by city services aim to elevate the quality of life for Odessans. The fountains not only beautify public spaces but also provide pleasant areas for relaxation and entertainment in the warmer months. Meanwhile, the reinstatement of tram and trolleybus routes will enhance convenience for daily commuters and visitors alike, potentially strengthening Odessa's appeal as a travel destination.
