Everything is fine with eggs in Ukraine: exports have increased significantly. Key buyer countries named.

In the first quarter of 2025, Ukraine exported 496 million chicken eggs, reports 'Glavkom' citing the Union of Poultry Farmers of Ukraine.
The volume of exports doubled compared to the same period in 2024, but this did not lead to a shortage of products in the domestic market. Experts note that even before Easter, when demand usually increases, consumers can expect a sufficient supply of eggs at affordable prices.
Experts point out changes in the geography of exports. The share of EU countries in the supply structure increased to 72%, which is 3% more than last year. On the other hand, the share of Singapore sharply decreased from 15% in 2023 to 4% this year.
Ukraine began exporting eggs to the United Kingdom for the first Time - they account for 7% of the total volume. Exports to African countries are also increasing: 8% in 2025 compared to 5% last year, while in 2023, supplies to this continent were not made at all.
Exports to Israel remain stable - although the share has dropped to 9%, the physical volume of supply has not changed. On the other hand, Middle Eastern countries have almost ceased to import Ukrainian eggs due to complicated logistics and high competition in the region.
Experts predict that EU countries will continue to be a priority direction for Ukrainian exports. This is attributed not only to high demand but also to convenient logistics routes. Previously, only 4 Ukrainian companies had the right to export to the EU, but now there are already 15, which, according to experts, will help maintain strong positions in the market.
It should be noted that in the USA, egg prices may rise by 41.1% during 2025, according to forecasts from the country's Ministry of Agriculture.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture has also allocated a billion dollars for measures aimed at combating the shortage of chicken eggs, due to which egg prices have increased by more than 50% over the year.
In one American supermarket, a conflict occurred over eggs, where buyers nearly came to blows. This became particularly noticeable due to rising prices and product shortages.
