The enemy destroys Ukrainian medical facilities
Ukrainian hospitals and clinics are continuously under attack from the enemy, leading to additional strain on the healthcare system.
The enemy bombards Ukrainian hospitals, clinics, maternity wards, etc., every day, thereby creating additional strain on the healthcare system.
According to the Ministry of Health, as a result of enemy attacks, 1646 medical facilities were damaged, 215 of them completely destroyed and beyond repair.
The medical facilities in Kharkiv, Donetsk, Mykolaiv, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia regions have suffered the most. Information about the destruction of hospitals in temporarily occupied territories is unavailable.
Moreover, the enemy damaged 196 emergency medical vehicles, destroyed 266, and seized 125 ambulances.
The Ministry of Health reported that to date, 530 facilities have been fully restored, and another 355 partially. This includes medical facilities in de-occupied territories and those that have sustained minor damage.
The most facilities have been restored in Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Chernihiv regions. Restoration work on Ukrainian medical facilities will continue further.
