A project 'Justice for Soldiers' launched in Ukraine — what is known.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Veterans Affairs, has launched a social project 'Justice for Soldiers'. This initiative aims to increase the legal awareness of military personnel, veterans, and their families. The main goal of the project is to disseminate short videos with legal information for ATO participants.
Main aspects of the project
As part of the initiative, video consultations on issues such as filing reports, challenging the conclusions of the military medical commission, obtaining free prosthetics and medical services, promoting rights to financial assistance, actions in case of disappearance or captivity, and applying for free legal assistance are held.
'Thanks to the support of the JSC 'Ukrzaliznytsia', these videos are broadcast at train stations and on 'Intercity' trains, so that soldiers and their loved ones can receive up-to-date information while traveling across the country,' it is reported.
In addition, the videos have sign language translation for greater accessibility of information for all combatants. The Ministry of Defense emphasizes that this project is an important step in the development of state communication to enhance the legal awareness of military personnel.
Moreover, the Ministry of Justice is developing a special project 'Defender's Right' with practical legal advice related to military service. The 'Army+' mobile application portal has introduced instructions on transferring military personnel to other military units, and the Verkhovna Rada has passed a law allowing men to serve in the Armed Forces under contract after the age of 60.
As part of the social project 'Justice for Soldiers', Ukrainian military personnel and their families will have access to useful video content with legal information, which will help them understand legal issues and obtain necessary consultations. This initiative is an important step in improving the legal awareness of military personnel and veterans, which will contribute to enhancing their status in society and improving their legal protection.
